Spark's Claiming

Spark walked into the un-owned territory and reared high. He let out a long, loud neigh to say that he claimed his land, and ANY mare was welcome. He then cantered around the perimeter taking in every detail of his land.

Joy walked in, her tail held high, her steps were graceful, she looked around and let out a soft whicker.

Spark neighed to the beautiful, young filly and arched his neck. His dished head was tucked right in and hsi ears were pricked. He lifted his legs high and trotted over, his tail streaming out behind. "Hello there young lady. I am Spark and this is my territory. Welcome." He said smiling at her.

Joy smiled and looked down shyly "Im Joy" she blushed lightly, her tail blew beside her and her teacup nose made her look very cute.

"Joy... A pretty name for a pretty horse" He said. He nuzzled her lightly.

Joy blushed "Thank you..." she bit the tip of her toungue "May I stay here?" she looked into his eyes.

"Of course you can. Would you like to be my mate?" He said and asked. He nuzzled her lovingly.

She looked at him, a bit surprised "D...dont you want to get to know me more??"

He smiled and sighed "Yes, I suppose so, but I have seen you wandering around before, and heard many things about you," He nuzzled her and added "You are going to live here anyway though aren't you? You are the only mare here, or willing to live here anyway." He looked away, embarassed. " You don't have to be if you don't want to be though, it is up to you"

She looked at him and smirked "Ill think about it" she sad in a sassy way then smiled and galloped away, as if she wanted him to follow her.

Spark laughed then galloped after her. He was soon right behind her, next to her, then in front of her. When he was a couple of paces in front he slowed and stopped. He reared and turned in mid-air and neighed smiling. "I know what you are up too!" He said nuzzling her. "Mares" Though he added under his breath.

She laughed as she stopped and flicked her tail at him with a sassy smirk as she looked back at him.

"What?" He asked as she had her sassy smirk on her face. As she flicked her tail in his face "Come on, we have only just met, if that is what you are just thinking!" He was trying not to roll his eyes in amusement, although his eyes were shaking from trying.

Joy turned around "Im just playing" she giggled and smiled.

"MM Hmm!" Replied Spark. He trotted around her and nuzzled her neck, playing with her mane.

Joy giggled and nipped his mane then arched her neck.

Sparks climbed up onto a flat rock and neighed loudly. He jumped off it and went over to Joy. "What do you want to do now?" He asked nuzzling her.

She glanced at him and smirked then looked around, as it started to rain lightly.

When the rain started to get heavier and the lightning came crashing down and the thunder crashed he called out to Joy to go over to the cave over the other side of Steaming Springs. He galloped over to her and nudged her.

"Okay!" Joy snapped lightly then laughed and galloped to where he told her, her tail held high and neck arched.

Spark galloped into the cave, drenched and slightly shivering. He sighed as he made his way to the back of the cave which was warmer. He neighed out to Joy to let her know where he was heading when he heard his own voice revibrate back to him. He jumped slightly and slipped on a loose stone.

Joy pranced into a turn and stopped next to the opening of the cave, her head was held high proudly and her neck was arched slightly, her tail was held high aswell, she smiled as she watched the rain fall.

Sparks heard Joy and trotted to the mouth of the cave. "Come in here to the back. It is warmer," He said, nodding in the direction of the dim cave.

Joy looked back at Spark then the cave and shook her head no and looked back at the rain "Its beautiful" she said with an amazed face.
